The role of the judiciary in ensuring the psychological security of citizens in line with the restoration of public rights

Abstract
According to the statements of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, ensuring the mental security of citizens is considered one of the examples of public rights and one of the duties of the judiciary. The main issue of the current research was, what is the role of the judiciary in ensuring the psychological security of citizens?
In this article, by obtaining opinions from experts in various fields and citing library studies, it was discussed that the centrality of the rights and freedoms of citizens and gaining their trust from the path of observing the principle of the rule of law, including effective measures in the direction of promotion The level of psychological security. In the ratio between providing security and guaranteeing freedoms, a balance can be created by criteria: Suitability, necessity, and proportionality.
Considering that most of the tasks in this field are the government's responsibility, the judiciary must realize this importance through monitoring and demand from the government.
In addition, another part of gaining people's trust in the government is caused by the behavior of the judiciary. The predictability of the behavior of judges, proportionality of crime and punishment, reducing the delay of proceedings, good behavior in dealing with clients, achieving equality before the law and correct treatment of the accused and convicted are among the things through which the judicial system can increase the trust of the people and Therefore, to improve the level of psychological security in the society.
